Connect Verizon.net email to Claude and ChatGPT

Multi Mail connects Verizon.net mailboxes to Claude and ChatGPT with an app password made at AOL, which keeps Verizon.net mail.

For verizon.net addresses, whose mail AOL keeps.

The AI apps' own connectors

Multi Mail's other provider pages name what the AI apps' own connectors do for their providers: Gmail, Outlook and Hotmail, Microsoft 365, iCloud, Fastmail, Inkbox.

Connect it

At AOL

AOL makes an app password only in a browser you have signed in to AOL Mail with for several days in a row - never in a private window.

The link opens AOL in a new tab.

  1. 1

Verizon.net mail is kept at AOL: sign in to AOL's Account Security page at login.aol.com with your verizon.net address.

  2. 2

Choose Generate app password or Generate and manage app passwords, then Get Started, enter Lumman, choose Generate password and copy the one-time password.

AOL shows it once - leave that page open until Lumman asks for it.

Add it to

  1. 3
Add to ClaudeOpens claude.ai - press Connect there.
  2. 4

Sign in, add your Verizon.net mailbox and approve Claude in the window Claude opens - choose Another mailbox, type the address and paste the app password when it asks

  3. 5

    Ask Claude about your mail

Any number of mailboxes. 25 actions a day free, 1,000 a day on Standard for $50 a year or $5 a month, or 10,000 a day on Plus for $200 a year or $20 a month.

Reach and limits

  • Search and read it together with every other mailbox you add.
  • Draft, reply, forward and send from it.
  • Archive, bin and file its mail, and clean up its inbox by sender, putting back what a clean-up moved.
  • Multi Mail reaches no filters or vacation responder at AOL.
  • AOL's default view shows a mail app only each folder's newest messages. Multi Mail reads that view, and says which folder holds more.

If it refuses

  • AOL refused this password. Use an app password, not the password you sign in to AOL Mail with - made in a browser signed in to AOL Mail for several days, never a private window - and check the address.
  • We could not reach AOL's mail server. Try again.
