# Gmail

[Connectors](https://lumman.co/mcp) / [Multi Mail](https://lumman.co/mcp/multi-mail)

Gmail connects to Multi Mail with an app password, never your Google password.

For gmail.com and googlemail.com addresses - not Google Workspace or your own domain at Google.

## Before you add it

1. Turn on [2-Step Verification](https://myaccount.google.com/signinoptions/twosv) in your Google Account. Google offers app passwords only with it on. Skip this if yours is on.
2. Make an [app password](https://myaccount.google.com/apppasswords) named Lumman. Google shows it once - leave that page open until Lumman asks for it.

## Add it to Claude

3. [Add to Claude](https://claude.ai/directory/connectors/multi-mail) - Opens claude.ai - press Connect there.
4. Sign in, add your Gmail and approve Claude in the window Claude opens - paste the app password when it asks.
5. Ask Claude about your mail

## Limits

- Multi Mail reaches no filters, vacation responder or signature at Gmail, and deletes no draft.
- Changing your Google password ends every app password. Make a new one and reconnect.
