# Connect AT&T Mail to Claude and ChatGPT

[Connectors](https://lumman.co/mcp) / [Multi Mail](https://lumman.co/mcp/multi-mail)

Multi Mail connects AT&T mailboxes to Claude and ChatGPT with a secure mail key, never your AT&T password.

For att.net, sbcglobal.net, bellsouth.net, ameritech.net, currently.com, flash.net, nvbell.net, pacbell.net, prodigy.net, snet.net, swbell.net and wans.net addresses, and other domains whose mail AT&T Mail's own servers receive.

## The AI apps' own connectors

Multi Mail's other provider pages name what the AI apps' own connectors do for their providers: [Gmail](https://lumman.co/mcp/multi-mail/gmail), [Outlook and Hotmail](https://lumman.co/mcp/multi-mail/outlook), [Microsoft 365](https://lumman.co/mcp/multi-mail/microsoft-365), [iCloud](https://lumman.co/mcp/multi-mail/icloud), [Fastmail](https://lumman.co/mcp/multi-mail/fastmail), [Inkbox](https://lumman.co/mcp/multi-mail/inkbox).

## Connect it

1. Sign in to your AT&T account profile at [www.att.com](https://www.att.com/acctmgmt/myprofile/overview).
2. Choose Settings and confirm the account is this address's - select Switch if it is another.
3. Select Add secure mail key, enter Lumman as its nickname, select Create and copy the key. AT&T shows it once - leave that page open until Lumman asks for it.

4. [Add to Claude](https://claude.ai/directory/connectors/multi-mail) - Opens claude.ai - press Connect there.
5. Sign in, add your AT&T mailbox and approve Claude in the window Claude opens - choose Another mailbox, type the address and paste the secure mail key when it asks.
6. Ask Claude about your mail

- [Claude](https://lumman.co/mcp/claude) - From Claude's connectors directory
- [ChatGPT](https://lumman.co/mcp/chatgpt) - As a custom MCP server
- [Claude Code](https://lumman.co/mcp/claude-code) - As a plugin, in two commands
- [Cursor](https://lumman.co/mcp/cursor) - In ~/.cursor/mcp.json

## Reach and limits

- Search and read it together with every other mailbox you add.
- Draft, reply, forward and send from it.
- Archive, bin and file its mail, and clean up its inbox by sender, putting back what a clean-up moved.
- Multi Mail reaches no filters or vacation responder at AT&T.
- AT&T's default view shows a mail app only each folder's newest messages. Multi Mail reads that view, and says which folder holds more.

## If it refuses

- AT&T refused this key. Use a secure mail key made for this address, not the password you sign in to AT&T Mail with, and check the address.
- We could not reach AT&T's mail server. Try again.
